This Week We

This week has been full of firsts for Aubryn. She went to Coldstone for the first time, saw her first movie in theaters (Hugo, which was so great. And it's a good thing, too. Because we couldn't have her first in theaters movie be a disappointment), and had her first sip of water. Which resulted in a fifteen minute bout of the hiccups.

She also experienced the university all bustling and full of students for the first time during lunch earlier this week. She got in some prime people watching while her dad employed her as an iPad stand.

It's been so fun to watch her experience everything for the first time, but it's also a little nerve racking. I want to make sure that I'm exposing her to good things, uplifting things. Things that she'll like. Not just things. Even if she won't remember them quite yet.

I also tweet and pin. Here are a few of this week's favorite finds I wanted to share with you:

-Downton Abbey. Is anyone else obsessed?
-Just Like Molly. And an interview with it's creator.
-This makes me want to take a trip to NYC.
-Just listen.
-When you come to the end of your life, what will you regret?
-Martha never disappoints.
-Here you go.
-Have you seen these? You can make your own!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Ours will be spent dating (Jordan and I), perfecting the art of sitting up unattended (Aubryn), and enjoying that wonderful invention that is the heater. Because it's getting rather chilly around these parts. And by chilly I mean that it's so cold it makes your cheeks numb (both sets) and puts a nice layer of frost on the inside of your car. The inside, people!

What are your plans for the weekend? Whatever you do, stay warm for us, will ya?

  1. Downton Abbey became my obbsession over Christmas Break, and I'm SO happy they brought it back for a second season! It's just AMAZING! I'm glad to hear there are other people who are just as excited about the show.

Thanks for sharing pictures of Aubryn - I'm a new follower, but I really enjoy reading your posts. They're just fun and uplifting!
