Aubryn's First Christmas Tree

While it isn't Aubryn's first Christmas, this is officially her first Christmas tree. She waited a grand total of two days before she started plucking ornaments off the branches (to my great surprise!) and is convinced that the tree is hot and always blows on it before she starts touching it (which might be the funniest/cutest thing ever).

She's quite smitten with the lights, the pretty ornaments, and the overall shine of the tree. And don't even get her started on what lies beneath. The bows on the presents are already tempting her. I can't wait to see her face when all those presents are placed in front of her and she gets to start unwrapping all of her goodies. We have put a lot of thought and love into the gifts we are giving her this year and know that she will love what she's receiving from all of her loved ones!

I've heard a lot of people talk about how stressful the holidays become once you have children, but so far, excitement and joy are the only things that have been increasing. She's been picking up on all of the little details that make the holidays magical and it has been illuminating and humbling to see the season through her little eyes. She is such a blessing to our family and helps me to become better every day.

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you have a safe and memorable holiday break!
