Playing Tourist

Have you ever gone site seeing in a familiar city? Taken a tour of an overlooked museum, or gone back to places you only visited as a child? We recently took a trip to Boise, where I grew up, and it was wonderful to play tourist for the day. We went to the local farmers' market, the state capital, and visited some beautiful churches. It opened my eyes to the beauty of a place that had become familiar and a little dull. When we settle down in a city, I'd like it a habit to tour my city every once in a while, to keep things fresh and interesting.
